Mount Palmer Walking Track, Harts Range Fossicking Fields

Located in the Central Harts Range Fossicking Area, Northern Territory, Australia – this walking track takes in the scenic Mt Palmer environs, including the Spotted Dog and Disputed Mica mines.

The mountains have a grandeur and variation of colour as well as many strangely-shaped rock outcrops which will appeal to photographers. At the old mines along the trail you will have the opportunity to fossick for minerals. From the Disputed Mine, it is possible to climb to the peak of Mt Palmer (elevation 1136 m) with its a picturesque vista of the whole range.
